Math- arithmetic, algebra, logic, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, probability, statistics

Social Sciences- American and world history, geography, economics, political science, law

Foreign Languages- Spanish, French, Italian, Latin, Hebrew, German

Science- biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, life science

College Prepartion/Standardized Tests- SATs, PSATs, ACTs, GREs, GED, MCATs, DATs, REGENTS, TOEFL

HOW WE WORK

Once we are contacted by phone or email we will respond to you within 24 hours. We will ask a series of questions trying to find the best tutor for each student. Once the consultation process is complete an assigened tutor will contact the family to schedule the most convenient time and location.

 Follow Up

We will follow up to see how satisfied you were with the first session. With permission we would like the tutors to be in contact with the students teachers to measure progress. A questionaire will be sent out to the client and client's family for us to measure what is effective in our services and what needs improvement. Through regular communication with the student's parents and teachers allows our services to be most effective.

Cancellation Policy

Students must give 24 hour notice if they wish to cancel a scheduled lesson to avoid being charged for the missed lesson. However, you can re-schedule the lesson for another time at any time.

SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES

Big City Tutoring provides special education and related services to students with learning disabilities. All of our special education tutors are certified and have years of experience working with students with special needs.  Our tutors have extensive experience working with disabilities that include speech and language, dyslexia, autism, and inidividual Education Plan and students that have ADD or need help with their organization skills.

Our tutors will conduct an evaluation process to find the areas that need improvement. We strongly stress the ongoing communicatoin between our staff and the family and teachers of the student in order make this a more enjoyable and effective experience.
